C3 Missions Update: We want to provide ten Uganda children and their “mama,” who cares for them, with a home to live in. Thanks to your help we’ve collected enough for two children, but seven kids still need your help. Your child’s pennies, nickels, quarters and dollars will help us reach our goal of $6,000 for the Kids COR House of Hope.
Here are our Missions totals as of end of the day Tuesday:
Money: $1,953
Backpacks: 141
Crayons & Markers: 337 boxes
Scissors & Glue: 341
Pencils & Pens: 2,585
Misc: 174
Drama: It may have been wet and wild outside, but inside drama was on fire. VBC’s “Indiana Jones,” who incidentally has quite the VBC fan club, and his loyal friend Sam helped us discover a new story…God speaking to Moses through a burning bush. Guess you had to be there to really appreciate how good our costume makers are!
The Ten Commandments – If your campers were a little nicer, listened a little better and cleared their plates after dinner, you have Jordan, Gabby and, of course, God to thank. You see, one of the Commandments campers learned today was “Honor Your Mother and Father.”
Craft – Cement, water, rocks and pebbles. Mix it all up and you have some very creative campers. They worked hard on making garden stepping stones today. The stones include the Ten Commandments and each camper’s name. Thanks to the craft volunteers who were brave enough to help campers with this very fun, but messy project.
Rec – The rain wasn’t the only obstacle today. VBC’s outdoor obstacle course was moved inside. And what a race it was!
Music & Dance – Your camper is likely walking around singing “Boom Chaka Laka.” If you’re wondering why, it’s one of our VBC songs that they’ll likely never forget and won’t want to. It’s all about God filling us up with his love.

I want to thank my neighbor, Dena Tull, for having a lemonade stand in our neighborhood to raise money for the missions project. A total of $45 was raised and split between 5 Vacation Bible Campers to bring tomorrow for the offering. Great idea, Dena!
